Lil Nu Souk began as a simple belief: children learn best when they feel connection and belonging, when the things around them reflect who they are.
Every notebook here started life as a hand drawing, made slowly and with love in London. The buses and bunnies, the tamarind and rose sharbat, the clouds and daisies. They’re all pieces of the world as a child actually sees it: colourful, cultural, and quietly magical.
Because every Lil Nu Souk page holds the magic of learning. From doodles to dreams, every stroke nurtures a child’s imagination, builds their confidence, and expands their view of the world, so each child can see the beauty in their own magical journey of life and learning.

We think creativity is simpler than it looks. It only needs two ingredients, and every child already owns both.
Noticing the little things
Rain racing down a bus window. A cat shaped like a croissant. The smell of the kitchen on a Sunday. The little things around us are actually the big things, and children are the best noticers in the world.
Finding the magic in you
The languages at your dinner table, the festivals you celebrate, the city outside your window. A child who believes their own life is interesting has an endless supply of stories, because nobody else is them.
That’s the whole recipe. No batteries required.
What a notebook can quietly do.
Not just somewhere to scribble. In a child’s hands, a notebook wears four different hats, often all in the same afternoon.
A stage for their stories
Menus for imaginary cafés, field guides to the pigeons of their street, tales of a girl on the 73 bus who talks to cats. Story writing builds vocabulary, sequencing and empathy, and it starts the moment a blank page asks, what happens next?
Practice that doesn’t feel like practice
Handwriting, spelling, counting the pigeons they drew: researchers keep finding that children remember what their hands have written. A notebook turns rehearsal into play: sums become shop receipts, spelling lists become spells.

No pings, no timers, no right answers. For children who find the world a bit loud, and we always design with them in mind, a page is one of the few places where nothing is being asked of them. Drawing slows breathing; naming a worry on paper makes it smaller.

Are the colouring sheets really free?
Completely. Print as many as you like for your home or classroom, they’re our gift. We only ask that you don’t sell them.
What ages are Lil Nu Souk notebooks for?
Most of our little collectors are between 3 and 11, but there’s no rule. Plenty of grown-ups keep one for quiet moments too. Every notebook is A5 (5.5 × 8.5 inches) with lined and plain pages, so it grows with the child.
Where do the notebooks ship from?
